Bob Dylan Records a Truly Weird New Cover of a Frank Sinatra Song

Bob Dylan records one of the weirdest pop songs of the year with his cover of Frank Sinatra.

People think of Bob Dylan as an icon, but at his core, he was always more of an unpredictable, upending iconoclast: at 72 years old, Bob Dylan keeps that spirit alive with a truly odd cover of Frank Sinatra's “Full Moon and Empty Arms” that shakes up the classic pop song's pretty nostalgia to make it stammer and stop like a rickety boat in cold water. Spontaneously posted on BobDylan.com today, The New York Times is reporting that it's from an upcoming album Shadows in the Night. But whatever it's for, it comes across like some of Lou Reed's crazier flirtations with pop music or a kind of David Lynch dream.
