TĀLĀ’s “Serbia” Video Has Nothing to Do with Serbia

Watch the oddly life-affirming video collage for TĀLĀ’s textured track.

A few days ago, London-born artist TĀLĀ' released the official video for her textured, genre-garbling song "Serbia," and it's an evocative, strangely life-affirming collage of grainy clips shot in the Moroccan countryside. It has nothing to do with Serbia the country, but it was apparently in some way inspired by A Serbian Film, a graphic and controversial movie that—according to one disgruntled YouTube commenter—is "stomach-able for the people who are already on the verge of losing their minds." Which, of course, makes me want to see it even more. Watch the video above and read our feature on the rising pop singer.
