FADER PREMIERE

Signed to Actress' Werkdiscs label, mysterious producer Moiré first surfaced at the beginning of 2013 with his debut EP, Never Sleep, which rolled at a languid pace through submerged house and techno tropes. On "False," the flipside to his "BBOY 202 / False" 12" out June 2nd via Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune, he explores similar territory—but this time with his foot on the accelerator. That quickened heartbeat bass sits at the front of the track, pounding out a semaphore message of desire. This video, which looks like rainbow TV static, was made by a video artist called Disguise and was apparently inspired by "long nights in random hotels where you endlessly switch channels." We've all been there.
