We've been hooked on Lydia Ainsworth over here since she appeared out of nowhere and stunned us with the very massive-sounding, string-laden "White Shadows." Today, the Montreal and Brooklyn-based singer/composer/producer is dropping her debut LP, Right From Real - Pt. I, on Arbutus, and to celebrate, she's just dropped this Matthew Lesner-directed video for operatic, electro-pop stomper "Malachite," featuring a zombie-like trio of yellow-haired dancers along with a whole lot of gloving. If you're in the New York area for the Northside Fest this week, you can catch Ainsworth on Saturday, June 14th at Brooklyn's Shea Stadium with AKUA, Starchild and Solar Year.
