At the top of the month, the Vallejo, California duo 99% released their party ready Yike In It EP. “Let Her Go” features Sage the Gemini on the hook, and Problem lends a guest verse to expand the number of Cali hoods repped. Though “Let Her Go” doesn’t have title of a “remix,” a Sage-only version of the song popped up last year. That earlier take was stripped down--closer to Adrian Marcel “2 AM” or even 2 Chainz “I’m Different”--but this updated version boasts more sinister production, a gruf Sage hook, and Problem briefly comparing oral sex to eating a grilled cheese sandwich. Interesting combo.
