Listen to Copenhagen Singer Kwamie Liv's Murky R&B

Kwamie Liv's "Follow You" isn't a The Weeknd cover (though she has one of those, too) but it does possess a certain creepy, dorm-room sultriness that recalls the Canadian producer's electronic production. But Liv—who lives in Denmark—has a distorted-pop charisma that's all her own; "Follow You" is both dreamy and murky, like a Beach House song that's been dragged through a gutter. The track's video, embedded below, finds Liv on the streets of her native Copenhagen walking through a graffiti-splattered tunnel. She jogs towards a bright light that never seems to grow any closer, a literal take on the song's half-whispered refrain: Run towards the light you see/ let it follow you. Listen/watch below.
