Peep Raw For The Oceans, Pharrell’s Eco-Friendly Line with G-Star

Pharrell & G-Star make the ocean a happier, stylish place.

We wrote about the G-Star x Bionic Yarn collaboration back in February, and finally the first images for the eco-friendly denim collection have dropped. Richly textured and boldly patterned, the indigo blue and black pieces that comprise Raw For The Oceans are constructed from fibers derived from recycled plastic bottles. Women will find matching denim sets and navy sweatshirts emblazoned with Bionic Yarn's mascot, Otto the Octopus, while men can shop houndstooth trench coats, patterned bomber jackets, and, of course, jeans. The collection has an environmental bent: it was developed in cooperation with The Vortex Project, which has eliminated ten tons of ocean plastic in its first run. With Raw For The Oceans being curated by Pharrell and anointed with such a "Happy" spokesperson, this likely isn’t the last we’ll see of the new sea-friendly material.
