Premiere: Madrid newcomers drop their first flick for the effortless and sunny garage-rocker “Bamboo.”

On SoundCloud, Deers' "Bamboo" is tagged with "surf," "garage," and "garage-surf," just covering all the good-time genre bases. The Madrid four-piece, led by Ana Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials, carry themselves in their debut video with a leather-jacketed goofiness reminding me of Haim, just with far less care for sonic precision. The guitars scrape, their half-shouted vocals tumble over each washing-machine style, and the track is punctuated by actual laughs and an extended riff on "bum-bum-beeda-buh." Feels like spinning 50 times and falling over into bed. On July 28th, Mom + Pop will release their "Demo" single on 7-inch—it's on iTunes already for two bucks—featuring "Bamboo" and "Trippy Gum," which is streaming below.
