FADER PREMIERE

The bubbles of anticipation that collect at the base of your spine when you're looking forward to something, with their gentle but persistent hum, are energy manifest; time in a physical state. That feeling runs throughout "Zen" by young Glaswegian producer Inkke, and it never quite shakes its suspension state despite moving at a not un-brisk pace. That's quite the skill—this is grime caught somewhere between the stars (those spacey synth lines) and the earth (that bongo drumming). London label Local Action will release Inkke's debut 12" Crystal Children, an eight-track EP featuring six original Inkke cuts, including "Zen," on July 21st.
