We've all gotten them. The subject line reads "85000 dollars for from a Syrian Prince," and the email prompts to follow-up immediately. Spam emails, like telemarketers phone calls and street harassers on the corner, are an unavoidable everyday annoyance, but lack true visual representation outside the inbox. Sir Michael Rocks' latest video "Playstation 1.5" feels like an attempt to visualize the technological nether region where this digital junk flies from. Shot in an airport hanger, Michael is seen in and out of focus walking across the airstrip with a distorted filter with various colors popping in and out. The video's looming fog recalls early 3D Playstation games, when the technology couldn't properly render all of the objects on the screen and players had to use their imagination to fill in the rest.
