FADER PREMIERE
A little over a year ago, I interviewed the very endearing Norwegian duo Lemaitre, then fresh off a trio of EPs called Relativity. Now, their physics fascination has moved on to another theory, and they're bringing their guitar-shining nu-disco to Astralwerks with a new four-track record, Singularity, out July 22nd and followed by a headlining tour. (They're making quite the splash at the label, also guesting on a track from Porter Robinson's forthcoming debut album and opening for him on Worlds' inaugural North American leg.) "High Tide" is the new EP's lead single; Swedish duo Oliver Nelson and Tobtok, who've previously united on a groovy improvement on Sam Smith's "La La La," give the track the proper dewdrop treatment. Sounds like a much-needed vacation.
