North Carolina Rapper WNDRKND Hates Being Sober on CVTS

CVTS

Last month, we covered “Sorbet” by WNDRKND and a couple other young North Carolina MCs. Now the rapper drops CVTS, a collaborative project with the producer PGMW–apparently neither wanted to buy a vowel. The collection features a languid production style matched with WNDRKND’s hurried flow; no one track rings louder than another, but each rhyme reveals a guy trying to squeeze a hot line out of the many thoughts swirling in his head. As he admits in his soundcloud liner notes, if a lyric or two is fucky, consider this a note for listeners and future rappers: Don’t write when you’re drunk. None of us at FADER would dream of doing such a thing.
