Usher, Pharrell, & Nicki Ménage on “She Came To Give It To You”

Stream the latest funky Usher single featuring an eye-popping Nicki guest verse.

July 08, 2014

Believe it or not, Pharrell has more funky basslines, more ambient party crowds, more two-step, four-on-the-floor, bounce-to-the-ounce, blazer-over-unbuttoned-collared-shirt soul music in his repertoire to offer up this summer. Off the heels of his rising single "Good Kisser," Usher plays modern-day Marvin Gaye on this latest groove, with Nicki Minaj recast as a quick-tongued, foul-mouthed Tammi Terrell. Her guest verse feels so vintage Minaj that I'd guess it were written three years ago if it weren't for time-stamped punchlines like I gotta clip these niggas like Sterly-Sterl and He only last six seconds like a Vine (to be fair, Nicki, Vines always start over). Stream a radio rip below and look out for Usher's 8th studio album dropping this year.
