Christopher Owens Heralds A New Testament with School Dance Clip for "Nothing More Than Everything to Me"

Over the past few months, former Girls frontman Christopher Owens has been teasing his sophomore solo LP with a couple of unassuming singles posted to his Soundcloud account. After sharing the lilting "It Comes Back to You" and the gospel-tinged "Stephen," Owens has returned today with the full details of that album, titled A New Testament, and a charming little video for a new single called "Nothing More Than Everything to Me."

Owens' follow-up to Lysandre features the return of John Anderson, Darren Weiss, and Danny Eisenberg who he collaborated with on later Girls releases. According to the San Francisco-based songwriter, the new record draws on "the fundamentals of American music—Gospel, Country, R&B," a fact that's evident in the twangy new track he's shared today. A New Testament is due September 30 on Turnstile. Watch the video for "Nothing More Than Everything to Me," which features Owens and his band playing a middle school dance, above.
