Listen to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s First All-English Song, “Ring A Bell”

It’s a cheery, chirpy -- and of course totally kawaii -- number that will hopefully earn her the American air-waves she so rightfully deserves.

In an interview with FADER's Duncan Cooper late last year, next-level J-pop star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, considering the importance it might play as she approaches world-wide fame, lamented her then-tenuous grasp of the English language:

"At first I wasn't thinking about going global at all, but then my music spread through YouTube and word-of-mouth, which made me very happy. I started to feel like I needed to learn English, but it's difficult! I didn’t study seriously in school."

However, it seems that with the release of her upcoming album Pika Pika Fantajin near on the horizon she's become a more dedicated student. Today, she released her first ever all-English song, "Ring a Bell" (via Vogue). It may not be her most imaginative song to-date, but it's a cheery, chirpy -- and of course totally kawaii -- number that will hopefully earn her the American air-waves she so rightfully deserves. Pika Pika Fantajin is out July 29th.
