The longtime collaborators share a tropical-tinged track.

It’s no news that electro-infused neo-soul is in high production, but sometimes a new artist comes along that seems to add a new dimension to the expansive genre. Toronto’s A L L I E is one of the latest, but she’s hardly just a woman of the moment. That voice, a bit reminiscent of a young Alicia Keys, is fused with the synth and reverb productions of her longtime collaborator and fellow Canadian 2nd Son; it makes for some instantly accessible R&B that's of-the-moment, but maybe also worthy of permanence. A L L I E’s EP Strange Creature, which 2nd Son produced, dropped on Bandcamp in November of last year, and the duo just followed up with the tropical and seductive “Private Island."
