One of the sweetest perks of being a rapper is getting a check to literally show up at the club. Not to perform or promote or anything, but just to show up at a table, get a bottle, and dip whenever you're ready. This kind of gig is referred to as a "walk through," and Soulja Boy told us on "0-100" that he gets $50,000 on any given night to do just that. "Walk Thru" was one of the standout tracks on Rich Homie Quan's I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In: A featherweight beat from League of Starz, a charming, sticky hook, and a strong guest verse from Problem made it sound like a guaranteed hit back in the fall. The video is a cross-country affair, with Quan strutting on Atlanta rooftops and Problem holding it down back in Los Angeles. In a recent interview Rich Homie Quan discussed his upcoming untitled album, dishing on cameos from Young Thug, Drake and Lil Wayne--that guest line-up should guarantee Quan's walk through rate will only be increasing.
