Alexander Wang Commissioned Marble Surf Boards, Because It’s July

Catch a wave in style.

Alexander Wang is notorious for making some of the most outrageous statements in the fashion industry. Take, for example, this hilarious campaign for his T line, which featured cult-fave SNL star Mango and famous housewife Sonja Morgan. The cheeky designer clearly has a clever sense of humor, but his newest creations are guaranteed to really perplex the masses. Just in time for the dog days of summer, Wang has commissioned a series of custom-made, marble surfboards to hang as installation art in the Cage display at his namesake boutique. Marble surfboards? What's next, glass skateboards? Of course, these boards aren't actually made of marble—the Carrera design was printed onto the award-winning Hypto Krypto board model from Australian brand Haydenshapes specifically at Wang's request. Ready to catch wave? Check out the installation for yourself at Wang's Soho store.
