Hear the Debut EP from GEoRGiA, 25 Minutes of Perfect Chaos

“It’s that juxtaposition shit.”

August 02, 2014

It's that juxtaposition shit, GEoRGiA deadpans after the screams and blares that open her furious EP track "Hard Lie This." It's the kind of line that's said with a quietly sarcastic smile, but it's also bang on the money: the London drummer/producer/singer's debut EP, out now on Kaya Kaya Records, thrives on clashes between space and noise. Come In is an EP only a percussionist could have made, rumbling and clattering and fidgeting, constantly capsizing you into moments of chaos before an angelic vocal sample or romantic guitar riff brings you up for air. Stream the EP below, and to get even deeper inside GEoRGiA's headspace, check her FADER Mix, where she's on that juxtaposition tip again featuring the likes of Bill Evans and Death Grips.
