Joey Bada$$ Asks You to Check His Style On “Big Dusty”

It’s nostalgic as ever, but Joey has something all his own to say, too.

August 04, 2014

This fall, Brooklyn's young boom-bap revivalist Joey Bada$$ will follow-up on the success of his 1999 and Summer Knights mixtapes with a real deal album. Today he gave us the lead single off that album, "Big Dusty." As ever, it is sure to sate any nostalgia the late summer breeze has you feeling for '90s rap, with a low-key guitar and drum beat by Pro Era's Kirk Knight. But as ever, Joey has something of his own to say, too:

Shit it's like taking candy from the babies
all of these now rappers are a bunch of Now and Laters
They too sweet, plus they lease their Mercedes

Check his style, check, check, check it out below. Joey Bada$$'s debut, B4ADA$$, is due this fall.
