It’s All Rum, Sun & Fun in Kes The Band’s “Endless Summer”

We don’t want it end either

August 08, 2014

It seems like it was only yesterday that Kes The Band premiered "Endless Summer", an easy-on-the-ears yet heavy-on-the-rum soca tune set to Ricky Blaze's Uptown Julie Riddim. But in an all actuality, that was memorial weekend— the unofficial start of the season—and here we are in early August begging for a few extra weeks of sunny BBQs and lazy beach days. In this Jonathan Mannion-directed video, Kes front man of the band, bounces around downtown NYC and finally lands at a roof-top party, hosted by Anya Ayoung Chee and the cANYAval crew, jam-packed with stilt-walking Moki Jumbies, Major Lazer member Jillionaire on the set and beautiful ladies done-up in full Carnival costume regalia. Full disclosure though— none of this hard partying that you see was orchestrated for the camera— we were there and legit wined and one-dropped till the sun went down. If you're ready for full-on FOMO, click through the slideshow here. But if you'd rather savor the sweet fleeting moments of summer right now, grab yourself a happy hour cocktail and blast "Endless Summer "on repeat.
