Kingdom Unites Gangsta Boo and Fatima Al Qadiri on “Sippin Choral”

Night Slugs producer Kingdom combines Gangsta Boo and Fatima Al Qadiri on the track “Sippin Choral.”

August 14, 2014

There's almost no combination of artists that Night Slugs and Fade to Mind can't bring together. This week, as part of his day-long Dazed takeover, Kingdom shared a mash-up of Memphis rap legend Gangsta Boo and Kuwait-born, NYC-based artist Fatima Al Qadiri, and it sort of sounds like it was always meant to be. The apocalyptic words of Gangsta Boo (The end is near/ prepare for worst) wholly suits Fatima's echoes and scatter-shot production work. While the original "Sippin & Spinnin", produced by Drumma Boy, was rooted in classic Three-Six Mafia fight music, this edit shoots for something that's more otherworldly.
