Physical Therapy Gives Away Heavy Batch Of Edits On “Scraps: Vol. 1”

The Berlin-based artist gets weird in a number of ways on this humbly-titled batch of edits.

For people that haven't been to Berlin but often read about the music there in terms of Berghainian techno—with its stark and austere contours, and ever-so-elegant presentation—it's funny and awesome to imagine expat Physical Therapy pranking dance music purists in the city. The boss of Allergy Season is as wonky and sick (pun intended) as ever here with this just-released, heavy batch of "scraps and edits." "Dope For Me (Hard Dub)" nicely roughs up De Nuit's remix of Ready for the World's "Love You Down," while "Chase Da Booty" is a straight-up weirdo banger. "Dance Naked" finds Mr. Therapy taking cues from recent Allergy Season signee and LA transplant Draveng, getting elastic, psychedelic, and longform, and "Music Heavy Cheez" is a super solid, genuinely unique edit of contender for greatest song ever, Stardust's "Music Sounds Better With You." TIP!
