Hear Susanne Sundfør’s Synthy “Delirious”

From the Norwegian singer/songwriter’s new LP.

January 08, 2015

Norwegian singer/songwriter Susanne Sundfør's music packs quite the epic, emotional punch—imagine the sweeping teenage grandeur of M83 mixed with Zola Jesus' throaty electro-goth—and new song "Delirious" certainly speaks to her powers, with machine-gun drums and synths that sound so burly that they should be tested for creatine use. The track's from her new album,Ten Love Songs, which will see release on February 16 via Sonnet Sound/Kobalt.

"I wanted to write a cinematic song about love and power," Sundfør tells FADER in an email. "It started off with just the beat and bass and as I developed it I added the strings and more and more vocal arrangements, until I felt the message was clear enough."
