Kendrick Lamar appeared on DJ Big Boy's morning radio show on Real 92.3 today, and a highlight of his appearance was his freestyling over a few Notorious B.I.G. beats on the anniversary of the legendary NYC spitter's death. Also: what's up with his new album title? When it was announced on Friday, the record was (and still is) listed on iTunes as [Untitled], which is pretty confusing.
And it looks like it'll stay confusing too: Big Boy asked Kendrick what the title actually is and simultaneously half-joked that TDE don Top was keeping Kendrick from revealing the album's actual title. Big Boy then asked Top point-blank what the album was actually called, and he replied off-mic, "Untitled." So maybe the album's actually called [Untitled]! Time will tell, since it's not too much longer before we're hashtag blessed with the album in full.
