Hear Moon King’s Awesomely Psychedelic Debut Album

The Canadian duo serve up a variety of moods on their new record, Secret Life.

April 07, 2015

I've loved Toronto duo Moon King since they were releasing stuff on Fucked Up guitarist Mike Haliechuk's One Big Silence label (hi, Mike!), and the glammy krautrock of "Roswell," the first single from their forthcoming debut Secret Life (out April 14 via Last Gang), had me salivating to hear what else they had under their sleeves—and, hey, now we can all listen for ourselves, together, as the impressively varied and kaleidoscopic Secret Life is available to stream in full below. Songwriter Daniel Benjamin had this short-but-sweet intro to the album to give to FADER: "I've been describing the record as a collection of sad songs playedwith joy & energy. But it's best for you to just listen for yourself." So do! Listen for yourself, I mean.
