Coke Boys Rapper Chinx Has Died

He was shot and killed in Queens last night.

Update 05/17/15 11.50 a.m.: Coke Boys have posted the following statement to their Facebook page: "We are very sadden at the loss of our brother chinx. please keep his family & friends in your prayers."

In tragic news, Chinx—Coke Boys artist and French Montana's right hand man, fka Chinx Drugz—was reportedly shot and killed last night in New York City. He was just 31 years old.

The rapper—real name Lionel Pickens—was shot at while driving a Porsche through Jamaica Ave, Queens. His passenger was also injured in the incident, and is currently in critical but stable condition.

Chinx made waves with bangers like "Bodies", his 2013 EP I'll Take It From Here, and his Cocaine Riot mixtape series, but had not yet released a debut studio album (though he had a title for it: Welcome to JFK).

VladTV report that French Montana's camp have confirmed Chinx's death. Meek Mill has also posted a tribute to the rapper this morning, writing "Seeing shit like happen always make my heart cold...I hate to see potential DIE!! REST WELL #CHINX WE GONE FUCKING MISS YOU!!!"
