Little Boots Premieres “Better In the Morning” Video

It’s a super cute ode to Clueless.

No one makes a walk of shame look as cute as Little Boots' Victoria Hesketh. The UK electropop singer based her first single from Working Girl, "Better in the Morning," on the headache of pulling yourself together the morning after—but you'd never know based on her appearance in the song's video. It's a dreamy continuation of the album artwork, with Hesketh masterfully pulling off a trench coat, a pantsuit, and pastels as she tries to get ready for her day.

If the scenes where Hesketh's outfits get mixed and matched feels familiar, that's because she had a very iconic moment in mind when she and director Nova Dando came up with the concept. "The idea came from a kind of mash up of Cher from Clueless’ computerized wardrobe and mix and match flip books," she tells The FADER, "combined with my ongoing obsession with GIFs, shades of beige, and dressing up like a yuppie! Luckily Nova was on completely on the same page as me. She has a great eye and it came together really quickly and was a really fun shoot. The song is about a walk of shame so I loved the idea of tying it in with the Working Girl album theme, that this girl can go out all night and still get to work on time looking chic hide her hangover and still smash the day!”

Watch the GIF-ready video and check out her upcoming tour dates below. The album is available for preorder now on Amazon and iTunes.
