In an increasingly internet-driven dating world filled with a seemingly infinite number of music festivals, it was only a matter of time before someone put together a festival-specific dating app. Sure enough: a Dutch start-up developed Glance for exactly this purpose. “Glance connects you to like-minded people attending the same festivals and club nights as you,” said the app’s designer, Jeron Jochems, in a statement. “If someone likes you back, it’s a match, and you could go together. Bye bye awkward dates with people you have nothing in common with. Hello event-driven dating.”
If apps like this take off, within a year there will be a stream of new studies about which festivals are best for meeting your future life-partner, so that's something look forward to. Glance is currently only available in the Netherlands. Download it via the iTunes store.
