As one of the biggest stars on the planet, Rihanna has most of the world on speed-dial. If she wants to get the bad guy from a James Bond movie to act in her “Bitch Better Have My Money” movie, it’s not a problem. But when it came to casting her accomplice in the short film, she went with an unknown face: a woman named Sanam that the singer ran across on Instagram.

If a well-taken selfie ends up in the right hands, crazy things can happen. Vice caught up with Sanam, a 25 year-old who lives in Seattle, to chat about her “BBHMM” experience. Apparently the singer reached out first over DM: “Hey, I have this idea I want to run by you. I think you're so fucking rare. Let me know if you're interested.” “I had no idea what she was talking about,” Sanam noted. “I was just freaking out, because Rihanna is messaging me on Instagram, telling me that she thinks I'm cool.”

Sanam had the flu during the shoot, but calls the whole adventure “the best week of my life.” “It's overwhelming,” she added, “because I'm hella normal. I work at a plant store.” You can also check out FADER's defense of the "BBHMM" video and the 15 fiercest moments from the clip.
