Carly Rae Jepsen Shares “Your Type”

Carly Rae Jepsen is back to brighten your Friday with another song from her forthcoming sophomore album, Emotion. Like most of the tunes she’s shared so far, this one builds around battering-ram synthesizers that could have been beamed in from 1987. Flecks of disco guitar and Jepsen's feathery vocals serve to soften the track's crisp edges.

“Your Type” is produced by a couple of Swedes, Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub. Yacoub was an early partner of the famous pop-savant Max Martin. The two collaborated on ‘90s smashes like Britney Spears’ “… Baby One More Time.”
