Lil B has been making headlines lately for his political beliefs. But earlier this year, it was his influence on basketball that was in the spotlight. After the rapper announced that the Based God cursed the Houston Rockets' James Harden, Harden failed to perform at his usual star level, and Lil B became a common topic of discussion on sports TV.

Now Lil B has been invited to engage more directly in semi-professional hoops: the Philadelphia 76ers' D-league team asked him to tryout for the squad. The team Tweeted an invitation to attend "the Delaware 87ers open tryout on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the New Castle Police Athletic league facility in New Castle, Delaware." "Bring your game," the 87ers added.

Lil B quickly followed up on the 87ers offer and says he accepted. He also noted that Jeremy Lin started in the D-League before making it all the way to the pros.
