Frank Zappa’s Widow Gail Zappa Has Passed Away

Gail Zappa, the wife of the late Frank Zappa, passed away this evening. According to a statement released by the family, she died peacefully at home surrounded by her children. She was 70-years-old.

Gail Zappa was married to the prolific musician for the majority of his career up until his death in 1993. She ran the Zappa Family Trust and released 38 of Zappa's posthumous albums, including this year's Dance Me This, reportedly his 100th record. You can read the Zappa family's statement here.
