Pharrell Remixed A Tribe Called Quest’s “Bonita Applebum”

Pharrell unveiled a smooth, shiny remix of A Tribe Called Quest's "Bonita Applebum" today. The song will appear as a bonus track on a forthcoming reissue of People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.

According to Rolling Stone, Pharrell opined about the importance of Tribe in a deleted scene from the documentary about the group, Beats, Rhymes & Life. "A Tribe Called Quest is cerebral," he declared. "It's priceless. It's music theory for anybody that wants to be a producer. Go study that."
