A lot of people will timestamp the beginning of the EDM craze in America around 2011, but before electro-house and dubstep found a place on festival stages across the country, there was another wave of electronic dance sounds that dominated the clubscape: bloghaus. French electro acts like Ed Banger Records standbys Justice and Frank Ocean collaborator (?) SebastiAn helped define this era of punchy snares, crunchy bass synths and over-compressed hi-hats, and in his latest mix Fool's Gold honcho A-Trak revisits some of his favorite tracks from the style.
