November 17, 2015

The latest installment in MoMA PS1's Sunday Sessions will mark the first stateside performance of Hecker Leckey Sound Voice Chimera. To bring the composition to life, Florian Hecker "decomposes, modulates, and re-synthesizes" a piece Mark Leckey made in 2010 titled GreenScreenRefrigeratorAction. That work was based around "the inner monologue of a black Samsung fridge." Hecker also manipulates his 2010 installation 3 Channel Chronics at the same time.

PAN label boss Bill Kouligas organized this Sunday's event (November 22), which also includes presentations from James Hoff, M.E.S.H., Aleksandra Domanović, and Harm Van Den Dorpel. Earlier this year, Ta-ku made his live debut as part of the Sunday Sessions. More details on this Sunday's event here.
