That's that Bay shit, P-Lo raps on his latest track. Pull up in a space ship/ All I rep is gang shit/ You know that I can't quit. "Light This Bitch Up" channels the trademark sounds of Bay Area hip-hop—minimal melody, funky low-end, forward momentum—and other MCs from the region, G-Eazy and Jay Ant, each add a verse.

"I feel like the Bay Area is in a renaissance," P-Lo told FADER in an email. "We are the kids that came up in the hyphy movement, and we are growing up and doing in our own way. Its 2006 in 2016."

Listen to "Light This Bitch Up" below, and look for a new P-Lo project, Before Anything, on Wednesday.
