Trapo is a 17-year-old rapper from Madison, Wisconsin with a throaty flow and lyricism wise beyond his years. He’s one of those musicians who releases conscious, creative, and cohesive bodies of work like November's The Black Beverly Hills EP before he can legally buy a beer.

His newest single “Bad Gal” is a soulful, bongo-laden groove that follows the MC’s struggle against falling for a girl his grandma wouldn’t approve of. What makes you think you’re better than me?/ I swear this girl is a demon. Produced by Virginia Beach-based Derrick Thomas, an energized Jill Scott sample of 2001's “He Loves Me” makes for the perfect backdrop to Trapo’s tribulations.

Listen to the track below, and be sure to keep an eye out for his upcoming EP, SHE.
