Jordan Max Bares His Husky Soul On “Let Me Lay Down”

The U.K. singer’s debut EP Only One Is King drops March 25.

Jordan Max, a 23 year old who is making husky soul in his small city England bedroom, is winding for the release of his debut EP Only One Is King on March 25. Today he has released a new track off that project, "Let Me Lay Down."

"Let Me Lay Down" is a heavyhearted song about the turbulent end days of a relationship. With strain apparent in his voice, Max sings about looking for a light in the dark—or, as he put it in a note to The FADER, about "opening my eyes and understanding my value as an individual, instead of putting up with it."
