Prompted by wise words from a legend, Miguel has recruited a mixed bag of artists to tackle "Waves," a cowbell laced, rock-tinged track off his 2015 album Wildheart, for a remix bundle titled Rogue Waves that will see release this Friday, February 26.
"One of my favorite song writers of all time, Diane Warren, once told me 'a great song will always be a great fucking song regardless if the style of music behind it,'" Miguel told The FADER. "We just think 'Waves' is a great song, and since Its also a fan favorite off Wildheart, we thought it'd be fun to ask a few of my favorite artists to give it their own sound and see how diverse the songs' reach could be."
Among the artists called on are Tame Impala, Travis Scott, Kacey Musgraves, and RAC—whose blissed, Ibiza-ready spin on "Waves" premieres today on The FADER. Listen to that above, and cop Rouge Wave on Friday.
