President Obama appeared at The Long Center For Creative Arts in Austin today to open SXSW Interactive. In a speech that lasted just under an hour, President Obama addressed issues ranging from voter disenfranchisement to the Obama memes.

Speaking to around 2000 tech workers, entrepreneurs, and engineers, Obama appealed to the crowd to help make broader changes in American society: ""The reason I’m here is to recruit all of you. We can start coming up with new platforms, new ideas across disciplines and across skill sets to solve some of the big problems we’re facing today."
