Last year, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Sian Anderson dubbed grime MC Jammz London’s “pirate radio king” and it’s not hard to see why. The rising MC often claims in his bars that he is radio, and if you keep an eye on London’s airwaves then it’s impossible to miss him—from Déjà Vu to Rinse to NTS to Mode FM. Then there’s his aptly titled I Am Grime show with Mic Ty on Radar Radio, which gets a cameo in the video for his latest single—the high-octane “Mr Wait.”

The video sees Jammz don an Anonymous mask and prowl the streets of London over a tune that's classic, old school grime, and has been causing damage on radio since 2015. Jammz explained to The FADER over email that he wanted to “create something which had a rawer element of grime” than his last single, the more upbeat "London Living." “When you hear this one in the clubs, you know what’s going to happen already”

With his last single “Warrior” being released on Wiley’s label, and an upcoming tour supporting Kano, Jammz is set to have an big 2016. Watch “Mr. Wait” above, and buy the track via Mean Streets Records.
