During a performance last week at the launch party for SoundCloud GO!, Chance The Rapper made an important announcement: his third mixtape, and first solo release since 2013, will arrive this month, according to a report from Esquire.
Chance previously hinted at a release date for the project on Saturday Night Live, rapping, “Then the third tape slide down the chimney." Christmas came and went with no new release, but the rapper shared snippets of a new project on Snapchat in January.
In the video above, Chance performs "Ultralight Beam", rapping both Kanye West's verse and his own. He reportedly made the announcement in between songs, saying "third mixtape coming next month." The performance happened on March 31st, so "next month" would mean April.
