Kendrick Lamar Teams Up With ESPN To Honor Kobe Bryant

"It's over, it's really over!" Kendrick Lamar explains at the start of a new ESPN video. "Kobe's really retiring? It's crazy. It's a trip to even be doing this right now."

Kobe Bryant will play his last game this week. In the ESPN tribute clip, Kendrick touts the NBA star's numerous accomplishments. "He became our identity," the Compton rapper notes. "If you wasn't born here, and you never lived here, you probably would never understand. I'm gonna make sure you do."

Naturally Kendrick soundtracks the clip as well: as Kobe drains shots and drives by defenders, the MC's "untitled 07 | Levitate" blares in the background. Watch above.
