Lil Wayne Honored With The Key To Lafayette, Louisiana

Handing out city keys is a popular thing to do these days. In the last year, Fetty Wap, Kendrick Lamar, Solange, and Drake have all been awarded these items.

Lil Wayne is the latest prominent musician to receive the honor. "We want to present you with a very special key for the city that we made for you," the Mayor tells Wayne in footage from a brief ceremony. "One of a kind, nobody else has it." The special key comes on a chain so the rapper can wear it around his neck at all times. Watch the clip above.
