Last night, The Weeknd performed a remix of "Tell Your Friends" with Nas at the Met Gala. Today, Vogue released a profile of the singer in which he discuses his recent rise to fame, his plans to travel to Ethiopia, and his inspired new material that caused him to cancel appearances on the European leg of Rihanna's Anti tour.

In between details about huge pop stars like Taylor Swift and Zayn being inspired by The Weeknd is the news that he is back in the studio with the same team that produced his debut work House of Balloons. "It's a new thing," he says of the material. "Always a new thing."
