Lil Yachty stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club to talk about his career and meeting Kanye West.
When the hosts asked how he linked up with Kanye, Yachty mentions it was through Ian Connor, who has been accused of rape multiple times. At the mention of Connor's name, Charlemagne Tha God says, "Oh he's an alleged rapist," which stops Yachty's answer immediately. After an awkward few moments, Yachty regains himself and discusses how Kanye became clued into him and his music. "I did a photo shoot for [Connor] not too long ago...and one of his assistants told me that he was playing me in the car for Kanye." Connor told Kanye t was Yachty who was playing and Kanye and Yachty have since met in the studio.
Charlemagne still steers the conversation back towards Yachty's relationship with Connor but it ends shortly with Yachty saying, "Ian doesn't mess with me anymore." Watch the full interview above.
