Joey Bada$$ recently sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss his upcoming role in season two of USA's Mr. Robot, and the discussion turned to Barry, an upcoming biopic of President Barack Obama. Bada$$ was supposed to appear in the film, but was forced to step down, as filming conflicted with a planned performance at Coachella. “I was supposed to be his best friend," he said. "I was the guy who was supposed to show him the projects, and show him how black people was living in America at the time.”
The Mr. Robot cameo is not the 21-year-old rapper's acting debut though: Bada$$ performed in "a couple of plays and productions" when he attended Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, including a role in a student-penned play called John Cusack Is Not a Famous Actor. Watch a clip with Bada$$'s performance below.
