Earlier this week Twitter took the rare move of banning user @Nero, aka Milo Yiannopoulos, after establishing him as the leader of a wave of racist insults that pushed Ghostbusters actress Leslie Jones away from the social network. Thursday night, July 21, saw Jones return to Twitter and also make an appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers to talk about the abuse she faced online.
During her Late Night interview, Jones highlighted the fact that she had been insulted on Facebook in the past too, but staff there moved quicker than those at Twitter to clean up that situation. Jones broke it down for Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey into a simple analogy, “It’s like, that’s my favorite restaurant, I love the food there. Three people just got shot in front of me. Y’all need to get some security!” Watch the interview above.
Welp...a bitch thought she could stay away. But who else is gonna live tweet Game of Thrones!!
