This Friday, October 7, Cologne, Germany-based publication and label MAGAZINE will release a unique instrumental project from a new, experimental metal duo called ZON. The eight-song record is called PALACE; one of the dudes from Battles is featured on drums; and on its B-Side you'll find a half hour-long ambient mix by Crato that reimagines (and "recomposes") the whole album. Pretty cool.
Premiering today is "KOMPT," a soaring, searing shredder about which ZON provided a little rhyme: "Two points of view detecting the common/ two hearts start beating as one/ Like leather, like jackets 'KOMPT' gathers different issues/ to communicate and bond in delight." Preorder PALACE here.
